Cottage. Early C17 and later. Timber frame partly apparent with brick and flint north gable-end. Colourwashed brick addition and partial re-facing. Thatch and corrugated tile roofs. Early building forms an L plan. C19 brick side addition to west. C20 flat-roofed extension to east. One storey with attic to earlier part. North gable-end of c.1700 with diaper pattern in brick and tumbling-in. Single inserted window. South facade with central boarded door, 2 C19 3-light casement windows and one single light casement. 2 2-light eyebrow dormers with leaded glazing and metal casements. Internal facades with 2 C19 casement windows of 3 lights to west and one 2-light casement to north beneath a skewback arch contemporary with C19 extension. C19 extension of 2 storeys. North facade with panelled door and one bay of 2-light casement windows. Ground floor openings beneath skewback arches. East facade with a 3-light window beneath a segmental arch and one 2-light window above. Single circular window to upper floor (a characteristic feature of Hilborough estate cottages). Interior. One pair of jointed crucks with elbowed uprights in roof. One room with angle rolls to common joists. Hilborough Hall Estate.
