House. Early C17, altered early C19, refronted late C19, with additions 1910. Coursed and squared ironstone with limestone ashlar dressings and slate roofs. First and second floor bands, coped gables, 2 valley, 2 lateral and single gable coped stone stacks. 2 storeys plus attics, 4 bays. Double range plan. South garden front, 3 bays, has recessed centre flanked by single canted 2 storey wings, all with coped parapets. Central moulded ashlar doorcase with overlight and flat hood and fully glazed C20 door. Above it, a glazing bar sash with basket arched head, flanked by single small sashes. Beyond,each wing has a basket arched sash flanked by single smaller sashes, flanked again at the sdies by single basket arched sashes, on each floor. Above again, 3 gabled dormers with plain sashes. Beyond, to right, a set back parapeted bay with, to left, a glazing bar sash on each floor and to right, a C20 door. North side has a plain C19 door flanked to right by a small sash. Above, a large ogee headed glazing bar sash, flanked to left by a glazing bar sash, and to right by a late C19 canted oriel window. Beyond, to left, a late C19 2 storey set back addition with a casement and a glazing bar sash. Above, a glazing bar sash flanked by single smaller sashes. In the return angle, a canted parapeted bay window with 3 sashes with oval heads. Above, a glazing bar sash. Above again, a smaller sash. West end has a 2 storey canted balustraded addition, 1910, 2 bays, with a central splayed opening with central pier, containing a basket arched glazing bar sash and a door with overlight. Beyond, on each side, a basket arched triple glazing bar sash and beyond again, on each side, a similar single sash. Above, a double mullioned casement. Above again, left gable has a glazing bar sash. Right gable has a C19 canted bay window. Above it, 2 datestones, inscribed 'G P 1611' and 'CEH LFH 1910'.
