Farmhouse. Late C16 and mid-C17 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Rendered timber frame, partly rebuilt and extended in painted and coursed sandstone rubble and brick;slate roof. 2 framed bays aligned north-south with projecting gabled probable former porch to east, and later addition to north. 2 storeys. East front: plinth to north; dentil brick eaves cornice; brick ridge stack off-centre to left (rebuilt above ridge in C20 brick) and integral brick end stack to right. Left-hand part with 2 first-floor C19 segmental-headed small- paned wooden casements, ground floor late C20 two-light wooden casement to left and segmental-headed 6-panelled door (top 2 panels glazed) to right; projecting probable former porch off-centre to right with jettied first floor, jettied gable with shaped brackets and moulded barge boards and 3-light wooden casement on each floor; C19 part set-back to right with segmental-headed wooden mullioned and transomed windows, 2 to first floor and one to ground floor at right. C19 timber framed brick and stone lean-to addition to left. Interior: plain chamfered beams and joists; 2 large open fireplaces; ground floor of gabled probable former porch has chamfered joists, beams and dragon beams with bar stops; C19 cast iron pump in lean-to to south has circular shaft with moulded rings, fluted top with splayed spout and curved handle and damaged fluted domed cap.
