Cottage and barn. Cottage. Early C18 with later additions and alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; slate roof. 2 storeys, possibly with raised eaves. 2-window front; 3-light chamfered mullion windows, those to ground floor with dripstones. Boarded door to far left. Integral end stack to left and prominent ridge stack to right of centre, both with shafts rebuilt C20. Late C20 addition to right links cottage to low formerly detached outbuilding with half-glazed boarded door to left and 3-light C20 casement with wood lintel to right. Regularly coursed rubblestone barn to left, linked to cottage by low range with pantile roof and 2 CZO casements, is L-shaped with corrugated iron roof, various infilled openings and C20 casements to gable end facing road. Interior. Barn has raised cruck truss (probably C15 or C16) to range flanking road and C18 collar truss roof in 3 bays with double butt-purlins to range at right-angles to road. [2552]
