KINGHAM CHURCH STREET SP2423-2523 (West side) 17/130 Coneygree Gate

GV II

House. Early C19 remodelling of mid-C18 house; minor later additions and alterations. Regularly coursed limestone rubble with alternating angle quoins to C18 part; larger stones to raising of eaves and some banded marlstone to C19 addition; slate roof with integral end stacks. Original 2-storey 3-bay house with eaves raised and extended by one bay to left in C19. Three storeys. C18 part has leaded casements with wedged voussoirs, all of 3 lights except for one of 2 lights to upper left. Entrance directly below; 6-panel door (top panels now glazed) with bracketed flat wooden hood. 2-light leaded casements directly below eaves. C19 bay has segmental-headed tripartite glazing bar sash to ground floor and first floor and sash window of reduced proportions directly below eaves. Integral ashlar end stacks and ridge stack to right, all with moulded dripstones and capping. Cellar to right gable end lit by 2-light mullion window with segmental relieving arch. Lower range at right-angles to rear on right, back part possibly formerly agricultural. Occupies a prominent corner position. [2576]
