Farmhouse, probably a manor house. Late C17, altered and extended. Coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings; Welsh-slate roof with ashlar stacks. Small E-plan house with rear stair wing and later additions. 2 storeys plus attic. Present entrance front, with chamfered plinth and moulded first-floor string, is the former rear, and has the tall gabled stair wing in the centre with a 2-light stone-mullioned transomed window at each floor. Of the former symmetrical arrangement of tall single-light stone-transomed windows, the 3 at first floor to left of the wing survive; elsewhere are blocked windows and fragments, but there is a later larger window at each floor. Right end wall had two 2-light transomed windows at each -flour with single-light windows in the gable, but some of these are now blocked or altered. Original entrance front retains the central 2-storey gabled porch projection, with a round-arched stone doorway containing a later fanlight below a 2-light transomed window; also the larger end projection to left, with single-light transomed windows; but the single- and 2-light windows between them are blocked at first floor and covered by an early lean-to extension below. Right wing is larger and has later windows, except a small gable window, but may also be an early alteration. Steep-pitched roof has gable parapets and 3 stacks with paired shafts. 2 C18/C19 single-storey service ranges are attached to end of main range. Interior not inspected.
