1/3 Hall Farm House (formerly 25.9.51 listed as Alpington Hall and barn) G.V. II
Farmhouse, 17th century with 18th and 19th century additions. Red brick limewashed on rear facade. Steeply pitched plain tile roof. Two storeys and attics. West elevation of five casements, irregularly spaced with leaded glazing. One surviving first floor 5-light window with chamfered mullions. 20th century gabled porch opposite stack with semi-circular arched opening and glazed double doors. Off-centre axial stack with four diagonally set lozenge shaped shafts and later square shaft to south. Crow stepped gables; chimney stack on north gable. Front elevation much altered and extended: 2x3-light casements with leaded glazing. Plain corner pilasters. Two gabled roof dormers with 2-light casements. Later two storey extension to east with hipped roof and 20th century two storey porch with stepped gable and semi-circular arched opening to doorway. Half glazed entrance door with sidelights and eliptical fanlight with glazing bars. Lower pantiled wing at north gable. 1½ storeys, with 20th century casements and doorway in south gable of main range. Attached pantiled lean-to range at south west corner.
