Brewery, now row of houses. Dated "EW 1774" to probably reset datestone to ground floor centre, above window; late C20 alterations. Knapped flint plinth to centre and right; red brick with random grey brick headers in English bond to centre; red stretchers and grey headers in English bond to left of centre. Red brick to left and right; old plain-tile roof, with much late C20 plain-tile patching; brick lateral stack to rear left. Single storey and attic; 14-window range fronting to Goldsmiths Lane Original segmental headed openings, now blocked, to low level of ground floor, some with diagonally set wood mullions. Irregular fenestration of C20 casements, some possibly to original openings. Complex roof with 5 half-hipped cross-gables to centre. C20 sloping roof lights. Left return, to High Street: render on brick. Single storey and attic; single window range. 6-panel door to left. C20 sixteen-pane horned sash with hood mould to ground floor centre. Tudor-arched 2-light leaded casement with hood mould to gable end. C20 shaped bargeboards. C20 entrances and extensions to rear. Interior not inspected. Late C19 and late C20 additions to right are not of special architectural interest. Originally part of the Wells Brewery.
