House, now Old People's Home. Late C18. Possibly by Sir Robert Taylor. Yellow brick; roof not visible; yellow brick end stacks. Double-depth plan. 3-storey, 5-window range. 4-panel part-glazed door with overlight to centre with square porch on coupled Doric square piers. 12-pane, unhorned sashes to ground and first floor. Flat stone band between ground and first floor. 6-pane unhorned sashes to second floor. Stone cornice and yellow brick parapet to eaves. Rear: ashlar Portland stone. 3-storey, 3-window range. Quoins to left and right ends, Curved stairs to central double sash door with flat hood on carved brackets. Tripartite sashes with glazing bars to left and right. Flat stone band between ground and first floors. 12-pane unhorned sash to first floor centre. Tripartite Sashes with glazing bars to left and right, 6-pane pivoting casements to second floor centre. Diocletian windows to left and right. Cornice and parapet to eaves. Interior: dog-leg staircase to rear centre.
