HARWELL THE PARK SU4988 (East side) 10/135 The Cottage - II House. Probably C17, with brick front dated 1803 to brick at left of porch. Brick; old plain tiles to lower part of roof; thatch to rest of roof, hipped over single-storey bay to right; brick ridge stack to centre. 2-unit lobby-entry plan. 2-storey, 2-bay range at right-angles to road. Plank door to centre with C20 open brick porch. 3-light casement with segmental brick head to left. 2-light casement with segmental brick head to right of centre. Single-light casement to right. 2-light casements to first floor left and right, single-light casement to right of centre. Single-storey, single-bay addition of timber-framing with C20 brick infill to right. Interior not inspected, but noted as having chamfered spine beams to ground floor, and possibly being of cruck construction with later alterations.
