House and attached barn and wall. Late C16, early C17, mid C18 and C19. House, render over red brick and timber frame, shallow rubble plinth in parts. Plain tile roof. Single ridge stack comprising 4 diagonal shafts, to the rear right is a single quadripartitestack. 2 storeys, plus attic, 5 bays. The right single bay being C19 the remainder C16 timber framed apart from the C17 2 storey gabled porch which is set on a plinth and occupies the single 2nd left bay. Doorway with glazing bar double door. Inner C16 wooden door with stud-headed nails, fleur de lys hinges and moulded wooden surround. To the left is a single tripartite casement and to the right 2 glazing bar sashes . on the far right is a single quadripartite glazing bar casement. Above are 3 glazing bar sashes with to the left a single tripartite glazing bar casement and to the right a bowed quadripartite casement. In the attic is a single wood and lead flat topped dormer rising to a small decorative central pediment having a single tripartite glazing bar casement. To the left and set back is a 2 storey single bay render and plain tile wing single red brick C20 stack to the rear left. Doorway with glazing bar double door. Above is a single tripartite glazing bar casement. Projecting from the left is a red brick timber frame and concrete pantile 2 storey, 3 bay barn. The side wall with altered openings has a single small tripartite glazing bar casement, to the left is a single small glazing bar casement and on the far left a doorway with glazing bar door. Various ventilators. In the front/gable wall is a large doorway with garage door. Projecting from the front right of the barn is a red brick wall which slopes down to about 1 metre high and extends forabout 9 metres where there is a gate pier. There is a corresponding gate pier and the wall extends for about a further 9 metres when it rises and terminates. Rear of house, the central 2 bays project and are each separately gabled that on the right being the C17 stair turret, is set on a plinth has sprocketed eaves and a single tall segmental arched glazing bar casement. The single C18 bay to the left has a single stack to the front left, a 1st floor band and a band over 1st floor openings. On each floor is a single tripartite glazing bar casement. To the right of the C17 wing are lean-to extensions having from left to right a single small glazing bar casement, a single tripartite casement and a doorway with C17 plank door with stud-headed nails. Rear of C19 wing has a single quadripartite glazing bar casement and above a single similar 5-light casement. Rear of remaining wings with various lean-tos and extensions. Rear of barn has 3 visible posts, wall plate and girding beam. Interior. Large proportion of timber frame remains including posts, braces, ground sill band. 2 bressumer beams over fireplaces. The C18 wing contains part of original close studded wall of C16 build. In dairy is some unusual fish scale pargetting. Stair turret with fine 3 storey open well staircase with good fretted balusters, plain newels and moulded hand rail. In the attic are some stud partitions. Porch has some C18 panelling. Interior of barn also with posts and braces.
