Vicarage, now house. 1862 by William White. Coursed squared ironstone, plain tile roofs, stone end and internal stacks. Picturesque composition. Complex double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 5-window range. Centre is recessed between cross wing. 2-storey gabled porch abuts left cross wing and has chamfered pointed arched doorway with hood mould. A flight of 8 steps leads to door with ornamental hinges and side-lights. Small rectangular window above porch doorway with chamfered stone surround and offset buttress to right. Centre has similar window to ground floor centre just above plinth, 3-light chamfered stone mullion window to right, and 2-light shouldered arched windows lighting staircase to left with chamfered mullion and pointed arched hood mould, and catslide roof above. Upper flights of staircase rise in stair-turret to right with gablet roof and two one-light windows with chamfered stone surrounds, that to left longer with chamfered stone transom. Right cross wing has central offset buttress flanked by 2-light chamfered stone mullion cellar windows, similar longer windows to ground floor and 12-pane sash windows to first floor with shoulded segmental-arched heads; small rectangular window with chamfered stone surround in gable. Left cross wing has 2-light chamfered stone mullion cellar windows flanking central projecting stack, which is iteself flanked at first floor by rectangular windows with chamfered stone surrounds. Left side elevation has irregular fenestration of similar sashes and stone mullion windows, a canted single-storey bay window and tall gabled dormer. Interior noted as having Derbyshire fossiliferous marble chimneypieces and shutters with ornamental hinges. (Grant-Ives family papers on deposit in Northamptonshire Records Office).
