SHANKLIN SZ57NE COWLEY'S HILL 1352-0/5/186 Barn and Cart shed to SE of Luccombe Farmhouse GV II
Barn with stabling and cartshed. Barn and stabling C18. Built of stone rubble with half-hipped roof now covered with corrugated iron. The north part comprizes stabling with hayloft above with openings top and bottom. Central cart entrance to barn and further stabling to south. Barn of 2 bays with angled queen strut roof and renewed roof with 2 tiers of rafters. Attached to the north is a C19 stone cartshed of 4 bays with half-hipped slate roof. Open-fronted with square piers and bolted knees. Walls repaired with breeze blocks. Included for group value.
