SU 17 SW OGBOURNE ST ANDREW - 6/40 Wick Bottom Barn II Outfield farm yard with barn, beast house and shelter. Early-mid C19. Sarsen, tiled roof. Building arranged round a yard, to north-west a barn of 9 bays with through cartway in bay 7 and secondary entrance to yard. South-west gable end rebuilt C20 to admit large machinery. Collar trusses with raking struts to base of wall posts, and stub ties to top plates of timber framed and weatherboarded walls, raised on high sarsen 'sills. Later raking buttresses externally. Attached to south-west, a beast house of 3 bays, with 2-bay tallet over, central entrance and window vents. Opposite, a 5-bay shelter open to yard front, rebuilt in C20. Enclosing south-east side demolished. An example of the increasingly rare outfield farm buildings.
